The Political History of Kirklees

      Over the past year a group of volunteers have been researching the role of politics in the local history of Kirklees. We wanted to know more about the political clubs and groups that were established in our towns and villages, and how they influenced local and national politics.      We have divided the information into our current parliamentary constituencies: Batley & Spen, Colne Valley, Dewsbury and Huddersfield.
